Urban photos

Sunday afternoon, we decided to explore downtown St. Petersburg for cool spots to do "urban photos". We walked around for two hours - I wasn't sure how the kids would deal with that - just wandering with no particular goal - but in the end, we all had SO much fun! Emma even commented how much fun she had! Here are a few pictures from a couple of the spots we found. One was in front of the old post office - I loved the textures on this building and even the cool outside mailboxes in the background!!

5-week-old sweetness!

I consider it a privilege to photograph a newborn. This is such a precious and fleeting time of life…there is really something magical about being present and being able to capture newborn moments on film! This little guy was no exception! Little R. was only 5 weeks old and was the most easy going baby ever! He was wide awake, and just watched with wide eyes, this crazy lady with this camera on her face! He was so much fun!!

Natural Beauty

We recently went camping in Ginnie Springs, which is located in north Florida. WOW what a place this is!! The springs were just so beautiful - they really take your breath away - the water is so clear and perfect and the colors are just really magnificant! I took off early the first morning on my bike with my camera strapped to my back to investigate the springs. I was literally the only person around for over an hour, with the exception of 3 divers in the main spring at the very beginning. Other than that, it was me, my camera and the sunrise! It was breathtaking! Here are a few pics from my morning!!

Sunday afternoon at the beach

The weather is finally warming up!! Now, I know to all of you in the north, 50's and 60's doesn't sound like much. But to us, that means fireplace and jacket weather!!! This weekend, we were finally in the low 80's - definitely my comfort zone!! The kids and I couldn't resist an afternoon splashing around at North Shore Beach!! The water was a bit chilly, but the kids didn't mind getting soaked! We had a fantastic afternoon!!! Josh even cooperated getting his picture taken - I think he secretly enjoyed it!! I was just happy he wasn't running away screaming in protest for once!! :)
