Fun family, fun shoot, great kids - what more can I ask for? St. Petersburg Photographer

I love it when a family really "gets" my style. Mom and dad did such a great job of just letting the kids be kids, not worrying about clothes or the perfect smile - they just let the kids run free and be themselves. That's the key to getting the natural smiles and fun family moments captured forever!

The "L" family was quite a treat, I must say. Getting back into the swing of things after the baby has been at times a bit challenging. But meeting families like this really make it easy!! These two are really great kids - very lighthearted, fun, sweet, polite...I left this shoot smiling all the way home. I have been smiling all day today working on their photos!! I can't WAIT for you guys to see the rest of your portraits. For now, here's a taste of what I've been working on!

CHEEKS - St. Petersburg Child Photographer

With all of my kids, I've said the time is going way too fast. I remember with Emma, I couldn't wait for each new milestone and was excited for the next stage. I always felt I rushed everything with her. With Joshua, I wanted to savor every single second. I cherished every moment so intently with him, begging him to slow down!! Well, as all moms of little boys know, "slowing down" isn't in their vocabulary. Now I have our last little bundle - she's turning 4 months tomorrow. I'm trying to hold on to every second, really I am. But with 2 "big kids" each day is like a whirlwind. It's get out of bed, rush rush rush rush, go to bed. Get up the next day and do it again. I feel like the time is just flying by with wharp speed!!

I took this picture of Allison a couple of days ago and I have to say, it's slowed me down. I have had it on my screen to just enjoy for the past few days. I can't get enough of those chubby cheeks, her little bubbles coming out of her mouth, her messy can't-do-anything-with-it hair....I just had to share this photo - one little moment in time with our little baby. It's not the most "technically sound" photo, but it's a mommy photo...just plopped her in the front yard in her little bumbo chair...

If you're a mom out there, just enjoy those little moments. We can all get wrapped up so quickly in our days. It's nice to get little reminders that stop us in our tracks once in a while!! With that, here's my little chubbawubba....

Back in the saddle again!! I wanted to share some photos from my first official shoot back from maternity leave. It felt so good to be back out there again and I got some RRREALLY fun images. I had to save some of the best for mom and dad's gallery....I'm excited for you guys to see them!

I have some more sessions I will be posting in the very near future! I also will be unveiling a brand-new website and blog in the next few weeks. I felt it was time to update things around here!

New year, new baby...FINALLLY a new post!! --- ST. PETERSBURG NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

My poor little neglected blog....it's been a long time. I think she understands, though. It's been pretty busy here in the Wilds household!! Our new little Allison Hope was born February 2nd and has brought us SUCH joy and blessing!!! Daddy calls her his "little bean". I think we forgot how tiny they are. He kept saying, "she's such a tiny little bean!!" All of a sudden, Emma and Josh looked like giants. Actually, I have to admit, Daddy calls her "Allie McBean" as a tribute to one of my favorite shows.....and just because it's kinda funny. We're finally getting a glimpse into her personality now. She's not that typical easy-going third child everyone told us we'd have. She's actually kind of high maintenance. She wans to be held all the time....well, I can't blame her for that one. She prefers to be home and isn't much of a fan of getting in and out of the car too many times in a day. I have to say I'm with her on that one too - sometimes I feel like that's all we do is drag the poor baby here and there all day long....but that's the breaks when you have a big brother and sister with activities and school!! She's very sweet. Her laugh melts me to peices. The little sparkle in her eye has us all wrapped around her tiny little curvy-tipped fingers. We're extremely blessed.

I'm also getting back into the swing of photography and had my first session (after maternity leave) last week. I will post pictures very soon T family! I have some exciting things coming along for Teresa Wilds Photography....new products I will be introducing, new print collections, some to include digital files (I know so many people have been asking!!). Even though the year is over 1/3 of the way over, I'm looking forward to the rest of 2009, meeting new families and preserving your memories for a lifetime!!! Here are a few pics of our new little bundle!! The first couple are from our first couple of weeks home. The one of her smiling is her at 3 months, and the last one is of me and the kids on Mother's Day...Enjoy!

*Edit - OK For some reason, it posted my words last and my pictures in the wrong order...but it's almost 2 am and I'm going to be woken up by a hungry baby in 3 hours...so it is what it is!!! Sorry!

Santa Baby.....

I can't believe it's almost CHRISTMAS again! This year is flying by so quickly and here it is December 1st! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and then spent the weekend putting up the tree and decorating. My little one has been going NUTS this year - I had to have a real heart-to-heart with him last night to let him know that "NO" Santa is NOT coming tonight. He figured, the tree is up, it's decorated, Santa will be here to approve tonight and leave presents! I couldn't convince him otherwise. He even told me, "Mommy, our tree is so beautiful, I bet Santa will leave EXTRA presents for us!!" I love the things 4-year-olds say!!

I had to add some photos of this gorgeous little Santa baby from last week. Can you stand it???

A little lovely...

Little Miss "M" was an absolute delight. Such a sweet little soft spoken girl, although I was surprised by her vocabulary...she corrected me when I called an Egret a Heron as he was walking by!! "No, no, no, it is not a heron," she said! We took a nice hike through the trails at John Chestnut Park, made friends with some squirrels and enjoyed a gorgous afternoon! I could have photographed this little cutie all day!! Here are a few of my favorites and a sneak peak for mom. I will have the rest of your gallery posted in the next couple of days!

We played hooky!

Last week, Dave took the day off work and the we kept the kids out of school to have a "family fun" day. We spent the entire day at Boyd Hill Nature Park in St. Petersburg. This will be one of those days that I will always remember! The weather was outstanding - high 60s - and sunny. We didn't see as much wildlife as we had expected, but did have a great day explorning the park, having a picnic lunch and just having a really nice day overall.

Here are a few shots from our fun day. We saw TONS of spiderwebs - this is my favorite shot from the day. There's also one (rare) shot of me - 26 weeks along! The shot of Dave and the kids is my new desktop on my computer - I just love it!
